In Fogarino's defense, he doesn't wear a sport jacket when he plays. "Aside from the heat factor, it's very awkward to have all of those clothes on and be mobile," he says. "That's where the aesthetic has to take a back seat. Way more about the music and my comfort first."

To witness the drummer in a more intimate setting than Saturday evening's concert at the Fillmore Miami Beach, head to Churchill's for an afterparty featuring his former mates in the Holy Terrors. The show commemorating the band's 20th anniversary will be the first Terrors event with Fogarino in the lineup since January of last year. "I only hope that Sam's arms don't fall off after pulling double duty that night," Holy Terrors frontman Rob Elba says. The addition of original bass player Frank Labrador makes Saturday the first time in 17 years that all four original members will perform together, Elba adds.

"I do it every now and again because they're dear friends of mine," Fogarino says. "In terms of rough and ready, just go and do it. Churchill's is just a no-bullshit kind of place. It keeps you humble."
