This Saturday, two exhibits focusing on street culture open at Butter Gallery. If your mug appears in the first show, “The It Click,” it’s because you’ve been face-hunted by a nocturnal photog who liked your street style. Gallery owner Francisco de la Torre curated this street photography exhibit, which includes shots by New Times street fashion photographer Pamela Wasabi and former contributor Jacob Katel, as well as Rudy Dubove, Frankie Galland, Charis Kirchheimer, and Diana Larrea. If you find yourself a subject in the other exhibit, “The Tenderloin Project,” it’s because you’ve done so much smack that your teeth have fallen out and your family is no longer willing to lift you out of that sticky hole you call your life. San Francisco photographer Sean Desmond captures the street characters living in the Tenderloin district, one of the West Coast’s seediest neighborhoods. Admission is free to the exhibits, which will be up until the end of August.
