From Miami Dolphins general manger Jeff Ireland asking potential draftee Dez Bryant if his mother was a crack-addled prostitute, to several players getting busted for things like DUI and alleged domestic violence, to wide receiver Brian Hartline’s car being found abandoned on I-75 after a hit-and-run, this summer has been a long and ugly one for the Fins. Nothing redeems off-season misadventures like actual, real-life football. Sure, this Saturday’s meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Sun Life Stadium is just a meaningless preseason game.
