Clash of the Titans

The Washington Nationals’ rookie hurler Stephen Strasburg has burst onto the MLB scene with all the pomp and circumstance reserved for surefire future Hall of Famers. And the hype is well deserved: Strasburg throws a fastball that averages 98 mph and a filthy 92 mph changeup. The 21-year-old has also shown he isn't afraid of the big stage, striking out ten batters in just his third big-league start in front of a near-capacity crowd that included President Barack Obama. It's safe to say baseball's next big thing is already here. Of course, the Florida Marlins have their own young stud sensation in outfielder Mike Stanton, who coincidentally made his Major League debut the same night as Strasburg. Watching Stanton face down Strasburg this weekend at Sun Life Stadium will be must-see baseball.
