Cobra Starship is a bit of an anomaly — the veritable mullet hairstyle of popular music. The fluorescent-swathed, power-pop- and punk-infused electro band sticks to a surprisingly strict regimen when it comes to its work — business in the front. Still, the group maintains a serious party in the back.

The quintet rose to fame with its debut 2006 single, "Bring It (Snakes on a Plane)," written specially for the film Snakes on a Plane, and has remained similarly tongue-in-cheek. They've poked fun at Katy Perry's hit "I Kissed a Boy" and recently released a song about good girls going bad with Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester. Even the band's official biography recounts aspirations to be BFFs with Samuel L. Jackson, stories of epic fails, and the apparent fact that lead singer Gabe Saporta's head is now too big to fit on the tour bus. Join the band's dance train when Cobra Starship headlines Tuesday at the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre, supported by 3OH!3 and Travie McCoy — that's the solo moniker of, well, Travis McCoy, usually of Gym Class Heroes.
