More About
The first Tuesday of every month, we make a tradition out of indulging our inner teenager. We slam our bedroom doors; we grunt and sigh in place of small talk; we scribble grievances that may or may not be poetry into black and white composition books. The only acceptable soundtrack is The Smiths with the Moz sweetly singing In my life, why do I smile at people who Id much rather kick in the eye? while Johnny Marr kicks out a joyful guitar melody. Its not that the British 80s band played music for teenagers; its that teenagers are the only ones allowed to wear such melodramatic angst on their sleeves.
Swinging a jug of a Carlo Rossi Chablis as we sway and mope to Bigmouth Strikes Again, we never thought of taking our tradition public, until now. Starting this Tuesday, Foxs Sherron Inn is hosting A Night of the Smiths, where Kit Wray, AKA DJ Alden, will blast these early precursors of BritPop while you down two-for-one drinks and $3 shots.
