Yet Unseen

If you didn’t get your fill of Wynwood during the last art walk, there’s still time to check out what the ’Wood has to offer. The David Castillo Gallery recently put out a call to its resident artists, and they’re trotting out all the new work for this month’s exhibit, “Gallery Projects.” Susan Lee-Chun, winner of a Miami New Times Mastermind award, will continue her exploration of the depths of Americana, this time with her newest video work, Sue Rehearsals, in which she does her best impression of the archetypal blond homemaker. Frances Trombly has been putting her embroidery needles to good use creating Receipt (Community Thrift Store) in cute and cuddly stitching, and Glexis Novoa has drawn up La République d’Haïti, one of his signature flea circus landscapes, this time on paper.
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: May 8. Continues through June 5, 2010
