Underdogging It

Sure, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat closed out the last month and a half of the regular season by posting 18 wins and only four losses. But here's the thing: Miami spent the final seven days of the playoff race eking out meager wins against some of the Eastern Conference's shittiest of the shittiest, including the Philadelphia 76ers, the New York Knicks, and the New Jersey Nets. Wade and crew even dropped a game to the pathetic Detroit Pistons.

So really, how likely is it the fifth-seeded Heat will upset the fourth-seeded Boston Celtics? Not very. During the regular season, Boston swept Miami 3-0, always winning by five points or more. Another discouraging detail: Wade was the top scorer in every one of those games, even putting up 44 points in January. And still the Heat lost.
