The Collective Will Be Televised

This past January, Animal Collective premiered its visual album ODDSAC at Sundance. The film, directed by Danny Perez, is a psychedelic visual delight featuring music by the experimental quartet. After that, the film hit the road with sold-out screenings everywhere from New York to San Francisco, and for a change, Miami isn't going to be left out of the loop. In fact, the film will have its South Florida premiere April 25 at Grand Central. Perez and the band will attend the screening and participate in a Q&A following the film. The last time Animal Collective visited was June 2009 for a live performance at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale. Though this is not quite a live performance, it still doesn't make it any less exciting. It will be an all-ages event, with the screening beginning at 8 p.m. We highly suggest you don't think and just purchase, because this is almost guaranteed to sell out. By the way, for Animal Collective fans who need to own everything by the band, the ODDSAC DVD will be released in June.
Sun., April 25, 8 p.m., 2010
