More About

It's understood that menopause and the songs it inspires won't appeal to everyone. Menopause: The Musical, written by Jeanie Linders, will have a niche target audience. That's right: There's a truly unique musical out there covering the funny side of hot flashes, night sweats, chocolate binges, wrinkles, and mood swings. The stage at Parker Playhouse will transform into a department store, where four women meet at a lingerie sale. At first, what they have in common is simple: a black lace bra. But then through talking – and some singing – it's revealed that there's a whole subject worth bursting into more song about: the Change known as menopause. Since the production's opening in 2001, around 11 million women have seen this show. Menopause will not be known as "The Silent Passage" anymore.
