We Like to Watch

This year's Oscars seem to be about having twice the fun. There are ten Best Picture nominations instead of five, and now there will be two wisecracking hosts, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, instead of one dancing Hugh Jackman. The show also runs the risk of running twice as long, so make a big night of it by pretending you're worthy of a red carpet.

For the eighth year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has selected the Miami Beach Cinematheque to host Oscar Night America, Miami Beach, an official Miami watch party at Smith & Wollensky. This Sunday at 6 p.m., don creative black tie as you watch the Oscars, predict the winners and win prizes, eat steak, drink wine, and be wooed by MC/drag queen Miss Elaine Lancaster in a crowd of similarly obsessed movie fans.
Sun., March 7, 6 p.m., 2010
