Studies show that a single molecule from the gravel in the parking lot at Churchill's (5501 NE Second Ave., Miami) contains enough rock 'n' roll to fuel a car for 100 miles. Scientists say the force is so strong at this corner of Little Haiti because there's nowhere else to play rock in Miami. But leave it to local punk rock label Destroyio Records to raise money for a new venue by throwing a show at the very stronghold it's trying to destroy.
At the label's Thursday show, you can watch Ass Piss, Belt Buckle Death Sentence, M66, Guerrilleros de Nadie, Guilty Fingers, Baker Acted, and Testicular Dancer. The show costs just $5, begins at 9 p.m., and according to show promoter Fabio Destroyio, is "one of those things you don't necessarily know how awesome it is until you're actually there. Like the dentist or something. You don't wanna go, and then you get there and it's awesome."
