Remember when her milkshakes brought all the boys to the yard? When she reminded you she was the first girl to scream on a track? If there is anyone who has been totally misunderstood by her peers, it's R&B singer Kelis. She never truly found superstar success, but album after album, she has proved that breaking out of the box is more interesting that doing the expected.

For her upcoming album, Flesh Tone, she worked with pop-dance DJ/producer David Guetta as well as out-of-left-field artists such as Boys Noize, Switch, and Diplo. The varied cast is no surprise; after all, this is a woman who has worked with people such as Björk, Basement Jaxx, and Crookers.
