It’ll be a cold day in Hell before you’re allowed to guzzle Gatorade on the Lakers bench alongside Kobe. But that doesn’t mean your dreams of pushing the rock up and down the court must die. Because even if your vertical leap isn’t what it was in your heyday, the National Street Basketball Association (NSBA) might have a spot for you. As long as you’re a Florida resident between 21 and 38 years old who’s finished at least one semester in college and has a decent b-ball resumé, you could be in a Miami Blu jersey in no time. And if you do become one of the lucky 15 (and are able to cough up the $75 tryout fee), you’ll play a regular season against 12 league teams from New York to Poland with visions of jump shots, cheerleaders, and championship glory.
