An Affair to Remember

Few organizations can boast the success YoungArts has had in discovering the nation’s top talent. Long before American Idol dominated the airwaves, YoungArts had carved an impressive record of recognizing and nurturing the country’s most talented 17- and 18-year-olds in the visual, literary, and performing arts. Its alumni include Emmy-nominated actress Vanessa Williams; star of HBO’s Entourage, Adrian Grenier; and Rachel Moore, executive director of the American Ballet Theater.

The organization is now launching YoungArts Miami thanks to a generous grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. This Saturday, YoungArts celebrates its annual gala, An Affair of the Arts, at the Gusman Center and the Dupont Building, where guests will get the red-carpet treatment, be regaled by up-and-coming talent, and mingle with A-list alumni during a sumptuous supper.
