Lots of us make dinner from whatever’s lying around, but at Paradise Farms in Homestead, what’s lying around is the best organic produce in South Florida. If you’ve ever eaten at one of the best restaurants in Miami—Michael’s Genuine, Fratelli Lyon, Michy’s—you’ve already sampled the Paradise Farms bounty, but there’s nothing like eating AT Paradise Farms.

So it’s no surprise that Dinner in Paradise has become one of the “must-do” activities every winter for the foodie crowd. Here’s how it works: this Sunday night, four chefs — Gordon Maybury and Brett Rayon from The Loews Hotel Miami Beach, Philippe Pinon from the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove, and Thorsten Leighty from Eden Roc — will pick their ingredients Top Chef-style from the farm’s organic and fully-vegetarian fields for an original six-course meal served right then and there. Guests arrive at 6 p.m. for a tour and cocktail reception, with dinner beginning at 7. The price is quite healthy, but these dinners are your only chance to eat “in Paradise;” we think it’s worth it. Space is severely-limited, and reservations are a must.
