The musical Rent, based on Puccini’s La Bohème, has taught us that maybe the best way to measure a year in the life is by love — not to mention it has given HIV and AIDS a face. Now, original cast members Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal are back and picking up their familiar roles as Mark and Roger for the national Broadway tour. It’s been more than a decade since Rentfirst shook up the theater world, and in that time, the rock opera has won every best-musical award, including a Tony. It even won a Pulitzer Prize for drama.

If you’re in dire need of a Rentfix, don’t worry, because the tour will stop at the Fillmore Miami Beach this Tuesday at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $33 to $63.
Tue., Dec. 8, 8 p.m., 2009
