Being one of the premiere art festivals of the year, not just any Joe Blow can show during Art Basel. You'd need connections, talent, or...a pack of markers, a glue gun, and some stray sequins. This year, the Scope Art Show has opened up their grand ol' doors to the OMNI Board of Tourism and invited them to invite you to design a bit of something to appear on their giant T-Shirt Wall. As a part of Covet Garden - a marketplace of handmade goods, books, and live projects curated by Daria Brit Shapiro, Karelle Levy, and Andrew Lockhart - the wall allows space for 100 one-of-a-kind shirts that show off style, Miami pride, or whatever the hell you want it to. All tees will be judged by fairgoers and the best of the bunch will be reproduced and sold at theOmnibot.com. Even the losing designs will be sold off for $20 to your mom or the highest bidder, with proceeds going to the NWSA Student Souvenir program. The only rule is that entries must be received by November 27. You can mail your tee in to 2411 Biscayne Blvd #2, 33137 OR hit the Pop-Up Party at the same location on Friday from 7 p.m. to midnight and design yours on the spot. There'll be blank shirts and art supplies for you to work with and gratis Grolsch for inspiration. Because every artist needs his muse. Visit theomnibot.com.
