The Miami Heat is off to its hottest start in franchise history. Much of the ball-bashing goodness is due, of course, to Dwyane Wades usual bad-ass-ness. And watching Michael Beasley grow up before our eyes as the once-and-future starting power forward has been a delight. But an unsung hero seems to have emerged as well: small forward and former New York KnickQuentin Richardson. The consensus reaction to Miami signing Richardson in the off-season was pretty much, Huh? followed by a resounding, Why? closed out by a resonant, Meh. But Q is averaging 10.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. The former first-round pick is playing tough defense and doing the little things that make a big difference. He has earned a starting spot, and so far everything is falling into place for the Heat. Suck on that, Knicks!
