Don’t expect to find voodoo flags, glittery spirit bottles, or primitive folkloric paintings at Windisch-Hunt Fine Arts, chirps the gallery’s director. Instead, AnnaMaria Windisch says her “Haitian Masters” exhibition will showcase never-before-publicly-displayed blue-chip pieces by some of the Caribbean nation’s most vaunted names. “The works have been culled from the collection of Georges S. Nader, who founded the Musée d'Art in Haiti and amassed one of the most prestigious holdings of Haitian art in private hands,” the dealer says.

This Thursday at 7 p.m., she will unveil more than two dozen rare pieces by late talents such as Bernard Sejourne, Angel Botello, Gabriel Leveques, and Bernard Wah. To seal the deal and perhaps loosen wallets, Windisch will have on tap one of the world’s finest spirits, Rhum Babancourt.
