If your mom accused a teenage you of spending too much time in your room clutching an Atari joystick, your mouth would say, “Fine, after I lose this man,” while the little guy in your head yelled out a hearty, “Shut the fuck up!” Nowadays, you have needy lovers who complain about your videogame addiction but the cojones to hit them with an audible “STFU.” This weekend, join other South Florida gamers at the Infinite Bits Convention — SoFla’s largest gaming event, Miami’s first videogame convention, and a place where folks understand that your blistered thumbs and couch butt are hard-earned war wounds. There’ll be 50,000 square feet of games, from Pong to PlayStation 3; an arcade area; tournaments; and a slew of collectible games and equipment. Check it all out at the Doubletree Miami Mart this Friday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Admission starts at $20 for a one-day pass.
