Forget modern science. The cure for breast cancer just might be shopping — or at least that’s what you can tell yourself to justify your spending spree at Shop for the Cure. This Thursday, Beauty Chronicles — that style blog you know and love — invites fashionistas to the Miami Children’s Museum to shop the wares of more than 50 designers, including Gold Saturn and Lorie Lester. Attendees can also score free beauty treatments, imbibe libations, sample scrumptious bites, and feel pretty good knowing 100 percent of their admission fee benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Who knew fighting cancer could be so fashionable? General admission is $5 in advance and $10 at the door, while VIP tickets cost $15 in advance or $25 at the door.
