With New York, London, and Milan out of the way, it's time for the real star of the fashion-week show: Miami. Wishful thinking, perhaps, but that doesn't mean Funkshion Miami Fashion Week is anything to scoff at. The week begins with a colorful bang courtesy of former Heatherette designer Richie Rich, who will debuts his new line, A*MUSE, along with his favorite, well, muse, the busty Pamela Anderson, at the Setai. The club-kid-turned-fashion-kingpin is notorious for playful designs that straddle the line between over-the-top and ready-to-wear.
Other designers sending their spring/summer 2010 collections down the runway will include Nicole Miller, Abi Ferrin, Mariano Lumbi, Custo Barcelona, Rio Soul, and others. All events will take place at the Setai or the Bass Museum of Art (2121 Park Ave., Miami Beach) this Wednesday through Saturday. To RSVP, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
