For all the ups and downs of the 2009 Florida Marlins season, there has been one constant. No, not the terrible relief pitching, but rather the ability to beat the bejesus out of their NL East rival New York Mets at every chance. The Marlins enter this weekend with a 10-5 record against New York and look to keep the Metropolitan-ass-kicking-fest going in this, the final home stand of the season at LandShark Stadium. The Fish will go out with a bang for their last Super Saturday of the year, with post-game fireworks and a live performance featuring Jamaican hip-hop artist Sean Paul. You can also get a load of the Manatees, a bunch of fat-boy dancers who are featured in this issue. Tickets start at $12. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. Call 877-MARLINS or visit florida.marlins.mlb.com.
