Think of illustrious musical gypsies of the past, such as Django Reinhardt and Jimi Hendrix. Now imagine a band that’s like a mix between Fleetwood Mac and Jethro Tull. Say it can harmonize like the Mamas and the Papas. What you got? The Coffee House Gypsies.

This Wednesday at 10 p.m., the band will wander into Heathrow Lounge, bringing merriment and joy in the form of gypsy-style rock ’n’ roll. A staple on the Magic City music scene, CHG has played everywhere from Tobacco Road to Jazid, winning nine Status QuO South Florida Live Music Awards along the way. Cover is five dollars.
