Miami's oldest bar, Tobacco Road is an unpretentious, off-the-beaten-path hub for locals who want a good brew without the frills (or the price tag) of South Beach. And unlike the dozens of other venues that have disappeared, it's a mainstay for area musicians of all genres.

But for this edition of the Rock Thursdays — a weekly show of all original local music hosted by DJ Oski — the Road welcomes something a little different. Unlike other performers, the members of Miami-based Seven Anyday hope you will forget they're onstage; they see themselves not only as a band but also as a vessel for a deeper spiritual message. During these challenging times, Seven Anyday wants to inspire others with its positivity and faith. Doors open at 9 p.m.; the show begins at 10. Entry is five dollars at the door for those 21 and older.
Thu., Sept. 10, 9 p.m., 2009
