The Crew with More than Nine Poplives

In a city that has the attention span of a 5-year-old, it's surprising when anything lasts more than one year, let alone ten. So when Poplife celebrated its decade-old milestone this past July, Miami took notice. Of all the hipsterati dance parties that emerged at the turn of the millennium, it's the only one that is as fresh and popular as when it began.

And the reason the indie-dance mainstay has lasted so long is that it embraces the concept that change is a good thing. After bidding adieu to White Room earlier this summer, Poplife has found a new home at Wynwood lounge Electric Pickle. Resident DJs Aramis, Induce, and Mike Deuce all made the move along with the party, while Benton and Mr. Brown are on the bill for the beat-matching duties in the downstairs room. Things get poppin' this Saturday at 10 p.m., and as always, there's no cover before midnight (ten bucks after).
