A Blast from the Past

You can't go see the Beatles live anymore, unless you have some sort of resurrection or time-traveling technology. If you do have said technology and are using it to see the Beatles, you've got some problems.

Beatles' tribute band the Fab Faux will be at the Parker Playhouse July 18, performing in faithful fashion the greatest songs from the Beatles catalogue. The Fab Faux is dedicated to playing the songs exactly like they sounded on the original recordings, and the group succeeds down to handclaps, alarms ringing in the background, even the air conditioning kicking in during the recording of "A Day in the Life." It will give a Beatles fan chills to hear these songs reproduced so painstakingly onstage. The only thing that doesn't sound pitch-perfect is the vocals, but that's easily forgiven. And for those of you looking for a little star power to go with your Beatles tribute act, the lineup includes Will Lee, bassist for The Late Show with David Letterman, and Jimmy Vivino of the The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Hit the jump for a video of the Fab Faux doing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" live. Tickets start at $39 and are available through Ticketmaster.
