Ever loved your sugar pie honeybunny pookie bear soooo much that your relationship already felt like beautiful music? I guess that's what Me She and Chris V of new local act BFGF were feeling, and they decided to express that feeling in song. And thus, the enamored couple (look, they even have the same haircut) formed a little electro-pop called BFGF -- y'know, uh, boyfriend and girlfriend! Together, they make lo-fi dance music that Crystal Castles fans will enjoy for its male-female dynamics and spluttering bleeps and bloops.

But Chris V is also known aruond town as DJ Chris Video, and as such, his musical knowledge goes all the way back to the pre-blog years (OMG). Which is why BFGF's influences are a little more sophisticated than it seems at first. There are strains of proto-rave stuff in there, as well as an Italo disco-style retro-futurism. Love haters, stay away -- the refrain of "BFGF Anthem."
