Lest the proliferation of mass distractions cloud your mind, Memorial Day is not just an excuse for a BBQ. We're still at war folks, and we have been for a while. That means troops in the field, troops back home, and broken families missing loved ones . With that in mind, all 5 Lime Fresh Mexican Grill locations will be donating 5% of all sales between May 23rd and May 25th to Operation Homefront, a nonprofit organization serving the needs of troops and their families through emergency relief and morale services like financial help, comptuer repair, moving labor, and much more. The Florida chapter, chartered in 2008, has already responded to more than $300,000 worth of requests for help. Individuals looking to add to that figure can donate items such as grocery vouchers, phone cards, school supplies and items for care packages to any Lime location. They'll be collected and distributed accordingly. As if that wasn't reason enough to get up and make a positive impact on someone's life, Corona and Dos Equis will be serving $3 specials on beer. There will also be a Pacifico mountain bike raffled off at Lime's Pembroke Pines location along with Corona coolers and collapsible chairs. Do what's right.
