Vergara, undeniably one of the hottest stars of Hispanic television, brings bombshell sizzle to her role of cellblock diva in this award-winning musical set amid the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s. The steamy production weaves the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who viciously slays her illicit lover after he threatens to dump her. The malicious minx then hires a highfalutin criminal attorney to transform her transgression into a barrage of sensational headlines that could have easily been torn from today’s tabloids. Vergara is featured in the recent box office smash Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail, and her credits also include the torrid 2008 telenovela Fuego en la Sangre and guest appearances on Entourage, Eve, and Baywatch, as well as numerous talk shows.
