Strike a PoseBy Carlos Suarez De JesusPublished on April 15, 2009 at 3:02amThe impressionists were known for harnessing the sunlit atmosphere of gardens and parks, capturing a world momentarily perceived by the senses in striking bursts of shimmering color. Monet and Renoir often depicted sumptuous outdoor scenes where children, women, and men surrendered to an air of carefree relaxation, frolicking among flowers or languidly reclining under shade trees. That bygone era re-emerges this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during En Plein Air, a painting event juried by Marcelle Zanetti.
