So this Sunday, lace up your Nikes for AIDS Walk Miami, one of the oldest and largest walks of its kind in the nation and one that hands over the proceeds to local outreach programs such as Care Resource, Food for Life, Empower-U, and the Center for Positive Connections.

The funds you raise from sponsors will help the community as you walk, run, or blade the five-kilometer stretch. (According to the Centers for Disease Control, Miami-Dade ranks number one in the country for HIV/AIDS infections.)
