Sushi and Shower-Worthy Vocals

Who among us hasn’t had a hankering to sing a duet of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” after finishing off a particularly tasty dragon roll? Thankfully, the folks at Red Koi Thai & Sushi Lounge have answered that call. So next time you get a case of the Tuesdays, head to Karaoke Klub, a weekly croon-fest held in their swanky second-floor lounge.

Load up on curries and sushi rolls downstairs, including the Gables roll, which boasts fried salmon, crab, shrimp, and cream cheese. Then follow the bouncing ball and glare of the video sing-along screens upstairs, where it would help to indulge in house cocktails Rock On Melon Bomb and Remix ’Rita before belting out and fist-pumping to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.” A successful karaoke bar requires cheap drinks and an exhaustive songbook; lucky for us, Red Koi has both, or until you lose your voice, whichever comes first.
