All-American designer and reality-show divo Michael Kors will be there. Multiplatinum recording artist Seal and the Grammy Award-winning Pointer Sisters will perform. And Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones and his wife Dawn Jones are honorary co-chairs for the event. The glitterati will be out, so strap on those stilettos and grab a cocktail, because it’s time for Destination Fashion 2009.

You’ll be treated to a runway show where Kors will present his new — and undoubtedly chic — fall collection, awards will be given to local philanthropists, and you might be able to pick up some tips from golf legend Jack Nicklaus. And since a Bal Harbour shindig would be nothing without a lil’ shopping, raise your marker at the Too Good to Be Silent auction, from which all proceeds benefit the Buoniconti Fund, the fundraising arm of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. This fashionably charitable event goes down at the Bal Harbour Shops (9700 Collins Ave., Miami) this Saturday at 6 p.m. Visit themiamiproject.org.
