Check it out, kids. What if you didn't even have to wait for your podcasts to download? What if you could hear them in real time, from the people themselves? The far-flung future you say? Nay, it's called "Live Radio" and it was invented back when the only way to cross the ocean was to get on a ship and wait, like, two whole months.

But the past is now for those attending WRLN's An Evening Under the Sun: A Night of Live Public Radio tonight at 8pm at Books and Books, Coral Gables. Hosted by local airwave celebs Dan Grech and Alicia Zuckerman, the performance features a story about a Miami holocaust survivor who hand-made some of the best billiard cues in the world, an interview with author Les Standiford, the artists Guerra de la Paz, and the mighty sounds of DJ Le Spam of the Spam All-Stars.
