A wise man once asked, "If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?” We say, because love fades; crotchless panties lose only their elastic. And since Victoria and Frederick have the shopping mall market on lock, hit the uber-luxurious Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and witness the first couture undies show to hit the United States. Ladies will gawk at the pieces from high-end brands such as Agent Provocateur, Vivienne Westwood, and Fifi Chachnil, and guys will certainly drool at the catwalk-stalking models wearing said brands. Hosted by spicy Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker and supermodel Veronica Webb, Lingerie Miami has something for everyone, even the philanthropists in the bunch, who will appreciate the fact that proceeds from the show will benefit an initiative to set up microfinancing in developing countries. Deepak Chopra will be on hand to drop some knowledge, Padma Lakshmi will float around looking stunning, and models Alek Wek, Helena Christensen, and Rachel Hunter will no doubt turn heads on the runway. The show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at a cool $750; get them at lingeriemiami.org. For a cheaper peek, hit SET (320 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach) for the pantylicious afterparty.
