It’s that time of year again. Pitchers and catchers are getting ready to report to the field, and the crackling sound of batting cages and leather mitts is upon us. And just like clockwork, the Marlins FanFest is here to get the baseball season rolling. This Saturday the team comes out in support of you, the fan, with player autograph sessions, tours of the dugout and locker room, batting and pitching cages, and much more at Dolphin Stadium. Kids can meet their favorite Marlins players and take pictures with Billy the Marlin. And while the lil’ one is occupied, Dad and his beer-ful friends can meet and greet the beautiful Mermaids. But this Saturday isn’t about just fun and flicks; FanFest is also a great opportunity to get game tickets, including premium ones for opening day and the Yankees. So bring your mitt, your family, and even your obnoxious Yankees fan co-worker. You can take a picture with him and the 2003 World Series trophy, to remind him what the Fish did to his Bronx Bawwwmahs. Gates open at 9 a.m., entry is free, and parking costs five dollars.
