So You Voted for ChangeWhere can you celebrate history if youre not in D.C.?By Patrice Elizabeth Grell YursikPublished on January 14, 2009 at 3:03amIf you were at the Wyclef and Jay-Z Vote for Change concert or the Obama rally in downtown Miami, you know. Obama fever swept the 305 just as it did across the country (apologies to the folks still rockin the McCain/Palin stickers on their cars; you make us giggle in traffic every day). And from what weve been reading, the main event in Washington is about to be a clusterfuck of monumental proportions. Were talking car gridlock, people gridlock, and public transportation and bathroom nightmares the likes of which the nations capital has never seen. Sorry, Barry we love ya, but the way this economic downturn is hitting us, were better off reveling right here at home. At least the weather will be perfect, right? Lucky Democrats and last-minute bandwagon jumpers, theres a party for every kind of voter this Tuesday night. You just gotta decide where you want to celebrate the inauguration of President Barack Obama.
