Upper SoBe is alive with the sounds of music. Unfortunately for Julie Andrews, there’s no yodeling, but there’s plenty of house, electronic, dance, and hip-hop in the air. The latest destination is located on 23rd Street in a nondescript building that is home to an indoor/outdoor club experience vowing to bring back ’90s glamour. Provocateur is the brainchild of The Upper Group, a collective that aims to create a vibe that is more club than nightclub. Its opening week brought fashion icon Richie Rich, actors Kenan Thompson and Topher Grace, and others to see the club’s posh alfresco Garden of Eden and subtly sexy VIP bedroom.

Saturday nights will feature guest DJs and live acts, and the legendary Home Cooking Tuesdays (formerly at Rain) will surely bring a smile (or at least a hung-over smirk) to the beginning of your week. Visit provocateurmiami.com for a peek, and then call 305-674-4478 or email RSVP@theuppergroup.com to save yourself a spot.
