More About
Shit is rough right now. People arent just tightening their belts, theyre puncturing new holes in the leather and sucking in for dear life. Few are feeling the pinch more than the restaurant industry. Makes sense when times are hard, the last thing most people want to do is pay too much money for food they could have made. Not only does our favorite long-ass-named restaurant in Coconut Grove serve up the kind of unique cuisine we lack the skill to make ourselves, but the chefs understand the bottom line has dropped ever lower. Thats why theyre offering the Recession Decompression series every Thursday night. Three hours of Latin jazz, three beverages of choice, and unlimited appetizers for only $20 plus tax and tip. Cant beat that with a bat.
The drinks include wine, beer, or Latin American inspired cocktails Peruvian Pisco sours, Mexican margaritas, Cuban mojitos, and Brazilian caipirinhas. Bites include Jaguars signature ceviche spoons, or you can snag chicken, beef, and pork skewers, all grilled and dressed with house-made salsa and chimichurri. And to sweeten the pot, after youve sipped and chewed and enjoyed the colorful ambiance and the Grand Avenue people watching, Jaguars offering a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner if you stick around. Decompress every Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
