Dolphins Reloaded

The weather’s fine for fans to come on out.

This time last year, Miami Dolphins fans were wondering when the pain was going to stop. Most of us longed to run into traffic or stick our heads into a pre-heated oven, or have our nuts slammed into a waffle iron — anything to replace the pain being inflicted upon us by The Year God Announced He Hated Dolphins Fans. Then, on December 16 of last year, the Fins finally won a game. It would be the lone victory of a truly craptastic season.

Things are inherently different a year later. Thanks in large part to the leadership of Bill “The Cockpuncher” Parcells and his mastery of putting together competitive teams; the Fins are an entirely different franchise now. Yes there is still much to do. Yes, they still lack a few playmakers. But this is now a team that has won many games. As opposed to, you know, one. And it’s a team within grasp of the AFC East. Just a season ago, the Dolphins were wallowing in a pathetic existence. Now, they’re wallowing in the awesome. Come show your appreciation during Miami’s final home game of the season, when they take on the San Francisco 49ers at Dolphin Stadium. Tickets range from $40 to $700 and can be purchased at www.miamidolphins.com. Kickoff is tentatively scheduled for 1 p.m.
