The décor is snatched from the Forties, and the prices on the happy-hour menu also look like a major blast from the past.

When have you ever seen a chichi menu with tempura-battered rock shrimp for $3.95 and steak tartare for $4.95? Now that’s bar food we can believe in, and the eatery has drink specials to match. Absolut martinis for seven bucks and beer for $3.50 means we can pound back a few and not worry about that fool, Dow Jones.
