You used to spend your weekends getting wasted, throwing up, and doing it all over again, but ever since you landed in Parentville, your rug rats have been the ones throwing up and you feel as if your life is wasting away. Since man can’t live on Hannah Montana alone, take the kiddies (and yourself) out for some fresh air and join other cool parents at the Arsht Center’s Family Fest. If you thought that having kids would deplete your cool points, you can start to gain them back the first Saturday of each month as you indulge in a little good, clean fun.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., you can show your kids how artsy you are when you make the dopest puppet, or paint a face that would rival the ones from Cirque du Soleil. It’s all hands-on and designed to get parents interacting with the young’uns on an artistic level. There’s no charge — just show up at the Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts for an afternoon of storytelling, theater classes, arts ’n’ crafts, and more.
