You Missed a Spot

Help the Hawaiian Tropic honeys with a rubdown.

Squeeze. Slather. And rub. Your skin is protected from the harmful rays of the sun, but could you parade around a stage wearing nothing more than a teeny-weeny bikini and a sun-born tan? We’re not mad at you for declining the offer, but thousands of girls apply to be Miss Hawaiian Tropic and do just that. They’re judged on their supersymmetrical faces, banging bodies, charm, and knowledge ... of skincare.

Yes, skincare is important when you’re wearing a garment that leaves 90 percent of your body exposed. And the lucky judges at this Saturday’s semifinals will most certainly be on the lookout for unruly backne and razor bumps. Each year more than 200,000 women compete, and today you can watch as the Florida semifinals go down at Karu & Y to determine who will rep our state and compete for the title of Miss Hawaiian Tropic International.
