Next Stop: Carnage

The suddenly resurgent Dolphins take on the hated Patriots.

What a difference a year makes. Last time the New England Patriots were in town, they humiliated the Miami Dolphins on their way to a perfect 16-0 regular season. They were the bullies on the block, complete with a juggernaut offense, a classless coach, and insufferable douchebag fans. But all of that came to an end this past September 21, when the Bill Parcells-led Dolphins visited New England and proceeded to deliver a cock punch of epic proportions. It’s where America was introduced to the Wildcat formation, the Dolphins’ ultimate weapon. And with that, Ronnie Brown’s balls of steel took over to the tune of 113 rushing yards, four touchdowns, and one passing touchdown. Brown accounted for all five of Miami’s TDs, leading them to an Ike Turner-esque 38-13 beatdown of the Pats, ending their 21-game winning streak and humiliating them in front of their home crowd, who proceeded to boo their three-time Super Bowl-winning team. You stay classy, New England.

So today, needless to say, it is so on. For the first time in a long time, a Dolphins-Patriots game will mean something. Be there at Dolphin Stadium to watch the carnage. At stake: first place in the division. Oh, and history tells us the Pats don’t do too well when they play in the Magic City. Tickets range from $41 to $700 and can be purchased at www.miamidolphins.com. Kickoff is tentatively scheduled for 1 p.m.
