Fallingwater is a plié. Anything by Frank Gehry is the tarantula. Beige houses in suburbia? Interpreting those would require the stylings of a catatonic. Once one gets started, it is easy to see the connection between architecture and movement. In his new production, Rammed Earth, dancer Tere O’Connor explores this relationship. After learning fixed choreography, members of his company modify their performances based on the restrictions of the space. Audience participation brings further understanding. But don’t worry — it won’t be like the time your hometown community theater put on a three-hour farce and made the audience cheer and hiss, causing initially enthusiastic senior citizens to weep. The only thing O’Connor requires of you is a change of perspective.

Spectators understand — his dancers’ movements are analogous to water filling a shoe box. A Guggenheim-winning artist, O’Connor is talented enough to dance his way out of a cardboard cube; he just finds experiencing the box more interesting. Tere O’Connor performs Friday at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 8:30 p.m. It takes place at the Dorsch Gallery, 151 NW 24th St. Tickets cost $30. Visit www.tigertail.org.
