Crying about gas prices while still cruising around in your SUV is lame. Get over it. The interactive nightlife promoters of I Am Your Villain are encouraging two-wheeled mayhem washed down with dollar beer specials. You should be there when the Loose Cannons on the Run bike race leaves from MIA Skate Shop. Vans fixed-gear-inspired gift bags go out to the first 40 racers, so get there early — the checkered flag drops at 10 p.m. on the dot. All self-propelled vehicles and levels of racery are welcome.

Cyclists with eyes on the prize should speed to PS14 (28 NE 14th St., Miami), where the winner will gank a $50 bar tab. DJs Stravinsky and Benton will keep the vibes going club-side and build momentum to the cupcake war that begins at midnight. The baker of the best cupcakes will win a fine bottle of champagne. Once you’re drunk and sugared up, place your bets on the ladies’ arm wrestling tournament. What’s the deal with this bike race? Local event mastermind Joel Meinholz breaks it down like this: “Come out and enjoy life, open your eyes, ride a bike, eat some cupcakes, and have some fun.” Sounds like a plan.
