For responsible, grown women, composure is key. Rarely do they get shaken, miffed, or rattled, but when certain situations transpire, even the strong can fall prey to fandom, eliciting high-pitched squeals that make neighboring canines heads snap. One such event happened this past May on NBCs Today Show with a surprise announcement that, after 15 years, boy band phenomenon New Kids on the Blockwas reuniting. True, its been a minute since the boys from Boston sold 70 million albums worldwide with sticky-sweet pop jams such as Step by Step and Please Dont Go Girl. And the groups brace-faced prepubescent fans turned into women and eventually gave up on dreams to marry Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Jonathan Knight, or in rare cases Danny Wood, when they snagged their first high school boyfriend.
Critics were understandably flabbergasted when the Right Stuff singers/dancers inspired stroller-wielding moms to sleep outside Rockefeller Center just to get a glimpse at the bands reunion. Expect pandemonium when NKOTB arrives at BankAtlantic Center with an 8 p.m. performance. Tickets cost $34.75 to $74.75. P.S.: Their merch table sells onesies, yall!
