Pablo Ceballos

Pablo Ceballos, hailing from Madrid, is most often spotted controlling dance floors alongside DJ Chus (a.k.a. Jesus Lopez Esteban). Their location on the Iberian Peninsula inspired the duo to coin the term Iberican to describe their fierce blend of the worthy elements of house and, yes, even trance. The sound relies on a homegrown instinct, but still acknowledges an influence from the United States as well as the party epicenters from London to Ibiza. Meanwhile they've collaborated on wax with underground American DJs such as Tedd Patterson, Tony Hewitt, and Dano.

Ceballos, however, might end up wishing he had enlisted the assistance of his production and DJ partner for his current local invasion. He's taking on the ambitious and positively tiring weekend double-bill of playing the main room at Space, from Saturday night well into Sunday. That requires an able body and a good temperament for anyone to endure, but we trust that, even flying solo, Ceballos is a DJ who has beats big enough for this particular hedonistic challenge.
